A 40-year-old man in Amruthur town of Karnataka survived after a tree branch impaled his belly. He was operated by a team of doctors who removed the 60 cm long and 3 cm thick branch and saved his life

Nanjesha HN underwent medical treatment for almost 5 months 


The accident occurred when he lost his balance and his two-wheeler skidded

For 40-year-old Nanjesha HN the agony was finally over. After five months of treatment, doctors finally removed a 60-cm long, 3-cm thick tree branch from his belly. According to The Times of India, the operation lasted nearly 2 hours.

Nanjesha, a farm labourer in Amruthur town of Tumkur district, Karnataka was pierced by a tree branch in December 2018.

The accident took place when Nanjesha HN was riding his two-wheeler from his home to attend the funeral of a relative. During the journey, his bike was hit by a stone while avoiding a truck coming from the opposite side of the road.

Hasanlu lovers The  Hasanlu Lovers  are a pair of human remains found at the Teppe Hasanlu archaeological site, located in the Naqadeh in the West Azerbaijan Province of Iran. Around 800 BCE, the city of Hasanlu, located in north-western Iran, was destroyed by an unknown invader. Inhabitants were slain and left where they fell. In 1973, the lovers were discovered by a team of archaeologists from the University of Pennsylvania led by Robert H. Dyson.
